Okay dudes, I seem to remember promising that I would post pictures of the Laura Roslin Moving Boxes won on the Live BSG Auction and here they are finally! They're pretty randomly taken photos and there is a slight view of me in the mirror so please forgive that.

Notes:
No idea who Sandra is, its just written in big red crayon on the back of one of our files, along with a quote from Unbreakable on the next page
Please excuse the socks, LOL

Yo dudes, tis Bexy in Australia on the iPhone Bee bought for her birthday which is TOMORROW YAY!!!!

Australia is cool, it is nice to visit Adelaide again and have nice food and wine and we went to Kangaroo Island and hung with da Possums. I saw an inch ant and we trapped it in a glass, ewww it was evil looking.

I am not impressed that Richard Adar didn't appear in the A - Z section of the BSG SFX special.

I am flying back tomorrow and will make every effort to post more like a good little friend. I miss everyone!

Dear BSG,

I still have a long time before the Finale but in the meantime, I thought it appropriate to say thank you for the memories and the fun and the stories. Thank you for giving us Laura Roslin, Saul Tigh, Tom Zarek; all that you so lovingly crafted over the last 4 years. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet some amazing people, to make friends, to meet some in person. Here I go getting emotional and upset already! I h ave had my ups and downs with you, especially lately, but you have come to mean so much more to me than just a television show. My partner and I bonded over you, I introduced her to Mary McDonnell. I am going to miss you so very much.

Dear Flist,

It's going to be difficult to say goodbye to Battlestar Galactica but I hope that doesn't mean that I have to say goodbye to any of you wonderful people right here on my flist. You welcomed me to LJ with such enthusiasm three years ago and welcomed me back with open arms after a two year hiatus. You've taken interest in my life, you've made me laugh, you've been supportive of me and I cannot express how this has made me feel.

Thank you, all of you, old friends and new.

On this big finale day, let's celebrate BSG. If you see this on your f-list:
- quote the show
- and/or post a cap of one of your favorite scenes

Laura Roslin: [after tackling Tom to avoid the gunfire] Are you all right, Tom?
Tom Zarek: Yeah. It's been a while since I've had a woman throw me to the ground. Not quite as much fun as I remember.

I love this fandom.

{ I'm going to miss this show so much, no matter how I've felt about the last few episodes. It's still my show }

If anyone is at a loss after BSG finishes, I very much recommend buying Underbelly and just watching the entire series through. It's based on the Melbourne gangland killings between the late 90's and 2004. The cinematography is excellent and the narrative fascinating.

I was a bit silly today and cut my leg whilst shaving in the shower. The cut has to be at least 15cm long, but not particularly deep although it stings like frak. Bee, bless her soul, took great delight in pouring salt water into the open wound. The skin is burning now! AND I AM NOT AN ATTENTION SEEKER PHOEBE.

I neeeeeed sleep so dis is a quick post, innit. I MISS PHOEBE. She stayed late at work to babysit and slept over cos there was no point coming home. It's so stupid not having her in bed next to me, the bed is all empty and crappy. COME BACK PHOEBE.

I made many icons today and am pretty happy with the results! You can see them in the previous post. I think I am slowly improving; I had a big realisation the other day that I can't make icons to save my life so I have been on a crusade to actually practice and think I'm getting there now; at least, getting somewhere.

Okay, sleep time! *sighs at empty bed*

mmmmmmmmmmm.

Good morning everyone! OW IZ U?

Lots of stuff to report this morning;
  • We have found a house! Bee and I and Bee's friend are moving in to a gorgeous flat in Royal Arsenal, London, with a Thames View and gorgeous spacious interior. I am going to put down the deposit today but DUDE, Estate Agents BLEED you. They are charging like 3x the rent in the first month for agents fees, bond etc. It's insane. We will need to live like paupers this month.
  • Adelaide in June! We're going back to see Bee's family and generally having a break in Australia. Verrrry long distance flight on my birthday, but I love long distance flights so YEY.
  • Called my brother last night to try and mend some fences and he couldn't speak because he was on thr XBOX (is that how you write it? Or is it Xbox?) Pffft.
  • I want some more rich tea's.

Stupid family. I hate them so much it boils my blood.

Bee and I spent all day today cleaning the fecking mould from our bedroom walls. Cos we are THAT cool.

Ooooh Kara is flying into the Maelstrom. BOOOOOOM

Oh no, I forgot how sad this scene was. EMO LEE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Seriously, I need them to stop. They have to just let go because our relationship is over.

I would pay myself and especially Bee through University, I would take us both on a loooooong trip around the world. I would buy us both a brand new gigantic wardrobe of beautiful clothes for every occasion and I would buy us a beautiful modern flat in the middle of London, one in Paris, one in Rome, one in Adelaide and definitely one in Manhattan; I would buy all the books and DVD's I have always wanted but most importantly, I would make sure Bee never had to work or worry about anything again.

Good morning flist!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! I hate it truthfully but I did Bee a box of Ferrero Rochers and a itty bitty box of Lindt Lindor chocolates!

It's actually fairly nice outside today and BRIGHT. Although the brightness is bringing on a bit of a migraine which has been building since yesterday afternoon. YES I AM A HYPOCHONDRIAC (although my migraines are very genuine) IS THAT A PROBLEM WITH ANY ONE?

I'm at work at the moment, yey. I work at the end of my street and actually very much like my job - I spend my days answering phones and acting as a remote PA for various companies to cut down on their internal costs. I sit at my very own shiny desk with my little notepad to take down messages and my telephone and my computer with daily access to LJ (yey!). So I am very happy with my job, except it stops me from sleeping and takes away time that I would prefer to spend with Bee.

Last night Bee and I cooked the BEST French Onion Soup which actually tasted like it should. We cooked big croutons too and smothered them in melted Gruyere Cheese and ate whilst watching Unfinished Business, The Passage, Collaborators, Hero etc. Lots of Season 3 goodness! I think out of the entire series, Season 3 is my least favourite, apart from the first four episodes or so. The exodus episodes are made of pure win.

I'm planning on posting my thoughts about the latest episode No Exit when I get a moment - I should actually do some work now! But the episode wasn't what I had been expecting, although I wasn't disappointed!

Have a lovely afternoon!

If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?

View 501 Answers

I would be an archivist here in London, or in Paris or Berlin, in some capital city where the history is so rich and fascinating. I'd be Dr. Rebecca Bennett, PhD lmao. I would sit all day in some back room of a HUGE building with old, dusty books surrounding me and a list of names, of events, of moments that needed researching and I would bury my head in those books and dig the information out and put together a picture of an actual person in a real time that is so different from ours. I'd get to travel around the world, visiting other archives and burying my head in their books.

Yup. That would be perfect.
